HOUSE MOUSE QUILTED MUG RUG COFFEE CUP PAD

Hi Stampers and Stitchers,

I made this very easy, very simple cup mug rug for a customer whom bought a lot of my house mouse stamps. I'm hoping she's enjoying it!

My square is 6 1/2" and I used warm and natural batting inside. I sewed an X on the square (corner to corner) then I added the binding piece by piece while trimming each way. The next time, I'll sew my binding strips together and make sure that it is machinable binding. This way I will be able to finish up the mug rug quickly.

Enjoy!

GRINCH SLEIGH AND PLUSH CENTERPIECE

Hi Stampers and Stitchers,

I recently made this arrangement for the center of the table for the holidays. Mostly for the babies! :)

It took me about 30 minutes. I bought most everything at Hobby Lobby and the plush I bought on Ebay last year. He was so cute I had to have 2. :D

Please ask me any questions that you may have.

Enjoy!

REMINISCING OVER PAST QUILTS MADE

Hi Stampers and Stitchers,

I started keeping a journal that I recently purchased in a quilt store. I thought it looked like fun and I've only made a few quilts in the past that I needed to enter. So here they are!!

Please ask me if you have any questions. The first one is a wall hanger, the second is a table runner, and the third is a jar quilt of my own design that I made for my daughter. She is 27 yo and still enjoys it.

Enjoy!!

HALLOWEEN TABLE RUNNER WITH ROW BY ROW EXPERIENCE

Hi Stampers and Stitchers,

I've been finishing up this table runner for the past couple of weeks. Was going to try my hand at meandering and I just got too busy with the grand babies so I had my friend pop in and do it for me.
She did a wonderful job!

This table runner is a row by row experience pattern from California.

I had another friend tell me of this website tutorial. I'll let the tutorial explain this for me. :-)

It worked out pretty well I think, don't you?

Please ask me any questions that you may have. Enjoy!

Attic Window Eye I Spy for a Friend's Grand Daughter

Hi Stampers and Stitchers,

I forgot to mention a couple of quilts I had been working on.

The attic window was fairly easy and I like to challenge myself to something new. So making an eye spy quilt like this was very exciting.

Then my good ole cherry picnic quilt is getting finished also. I've got the vines on it and I used this stuff called http://www.jillilystudio.com/shop/Notions/p/AppliGlue.htm. This stuff was amazing!!
Don't let the bias vines scare you.  I watched this youtube video for cutting a yard of fabric and I was able to get my 32" pieces I needed and then all the rest. Of course I have the leaves on it and they are ready to be satin stitched down.

If you have any questions, please ask me.

Also, I just got my SU order in. I'm ready to start making holiday cards.  I can hardly wait!

Enjoy!

Hi Stampers and Stitchers,

I've been busy making things. Sewing more instead of stamping. Soon, I will get back into stamping since the holidays are just around the corner. Until then, please enjoy my projects.

Enjoy!

ROW BY ROW EXPERIENCE QUILT TOP AND A NEW BERNINA

Hi Stampers and Stitchers!

I've been busy playing and cleaning! I've been collecting row patterns and making files. I've been cleaning house, upstairs mainly, and still having the grandkids over to fill some of the days. Boy do they ever keep me busy. No sewing when they are here. :D

Here is my quilt top for the row by row experience.  It should be back from the long arm on Saturday. Yippee!

I also pulled the trigger and bought a Bernina 580. So far so great!!! I'm loving it!! Can't wait to start embroidering.

Have a wonderful day and keep on stitching and stamping!

ROW BY ROW EXPERIENCE TRAVELS ROUND 3

Hi Stampers and Quilters:

I recently ventured over to Illinois for some row fun. I gained 4 new ones and the best news ever, I have two trading buddies, who have trading buddies. I now have 127 patterns.  This is quite awesome because out of all of the patterns I've been sent, some are actually on my "must have" favorites list.

I feel very blessed!!

Enjoy and get rowing!!

ROW BY ROW EXPERIENCE TRAVELS ROUND 2

Hi Stampers,

My hubby and I traveled to Mammoth Caves, KY to tour the caves. What a fun trip! We made it double duty and I think I had the most fun!! Because… I got to stop at some quilt shops and not only pick up their row by row, but I also got to get some more cute fabric along the way. Now it's time to start sewing these babies together!!

The omish buggy row came from Shipshewana, IN today. Yoder's department store.

Of course you can view any state participating by typing in row by row experience Facebook and state name into google search engine (my preference). :)

Any questions, please ask me. I'm willing to trade patterns too from other states. Or share if you're needing one. :D

Enjoy!!

ROW BY ROW EXPERIENCE TRAVELS

Hi Stampers,

I've been traveling for vacation this past week and I decided along the way I'd visit a few of these shops on Facebook for the Row By Row Experience in quilting. :) On Facebook you may type in the participating state and then type row by row experience. Then click on photos and you should see each participants quilt row. For instance, Indiana Row by Row Experience. wahlah!!

Each shop listed on the Row By Row Experience has an individual design quilt row measuring around 9" x 36" I think. (don't' quote me)  The pattern is free and some stores have kits made up and they are very reasonable.

I collected some of these rows and purchased a few yards of fabric along the way. I even found a gem of a pattern, Simplicity 4993 which is the cat, dog, and bear flannel rug quilt/wallhanging. The price was $2.00.  YES!! $2   So look around those fabric stores that also sell Simplicity patterns and you just may find this one lurking in their drawers. LOL

I'll attach the rows that I have right now. I don't know if I'll be getting anymore but this sure was fun!!

Until my next adventure or craft project, Happy Stamping/ Quilting/ and Crafting!!

Enjoy!!

I've Been Absent But Busy! LOL Cherry Jubilee Quilt Top and SU Order

Hi Stampers,

I'm sorry I've been gone so long! I've been super busy with this Cherries Jubilee Quilt Top and the grand babies! :D

If you're a beginner quilter (which is what I consider myself), I wouldn't recommend taking on this project too soon.  I loved it and I have tons of patience; this would be why I tackled it. Plus I love a challenge!   Whew!!

The grand babies are around every week. I love them both so very much! My daughter is expecting in February. :D  Another grand baby!!

I received my SU order for July. I'm loving everything in this order! I can't wait to share it with you and especially some handmade cards!

I bought the new Cricut Explore. Wow! I have to say this baby is going to come in handy for cutting appliqué shapes. I should do a tutorial for you! :)  To talk or not to talk is the question? LOL  Not too many um's that's for sure!!

Well Stampers (and Quilters); stay busy this summer, stay healthy and safe!

Have a great weekend!!

Here is Brayden's eye spy quilt. I've also appliquéd his name on the back. I'll post a picture here later. But for now, here it is!!

As always, ask me any questions that you may have.

Chevron or Zig Zag Baby Boy Quilt

Hi Ladies and Gents:

I'm sorry to have been absent again. Time flies and these grand babies are getting older. My grandson is 2 y and 4 mo.  The grand daughter just turned 2 y yesterday. :D  Yay! They are so much fun.  I took Brayden to see some model trains on Saturday and he loved them. I couldn't get him out of the store. We were there for 2 hours. LOL

So here is the finished baby blanket for my S-I-L new great nephew. I rendered her speechless! Finally!! :D  Love her to pieces!!

I used 5 3/8" inch blocks and made half square triangles. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me and ask. Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Enjoy!

Fon's & Porter Flip Flop Quilt

Hi Stampers,

I've been able to finish up a third project from my quilting room. This is a Fon's & Porter flip flop pattern. I changed the quilt border because I didn't feel comfortable doing the log cabin design as of yet. :) Still new!!

It feels really good to finish projects. I think I'll go through my room and see what else I can finish up really quick.

Most of all I'm excited about the Chevron quilt that I made for my SIL (for her new great nephew).
I recommend using Kelly's Easy Peasy Chevron quilt tutorial. I'm thinking the bias edges will give some ease to matching up the points. :)  I just made half square triangles (HST) and the blocks did not want to give too much. Overall, I'm still happy with it! :)

Sharing!  Enjoy!

Blessed Easter and Hardwood Stampin Up! Frisky Kittens Rag Quilt

Hi Stampers,

boy, have I been absent! But busy!  I made another rag quilt! It was taking me some time to get inspired  in order to stamp anything. After seeing Stampin Up's new Hardwood rubber stamp being used, I fell in love with it. I can honestly say I've never been inspired to make easter cards before now!
My inspiration can be found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2498713
and here: http://scrappinandstampiningj.blogspot.com

So I will share two things today. My granddaughter's rag quilt, Frisky Kittens, and my Easter cards for this year. :D

Enjoy!!

Stamp supplies:

Stamps: Blessed Easter, Hardwood
Inks:      Other black, Other yellow, Smoky Slate
Paper:    Whisper white, Wisteria Wonder, Smoky Slate
Accessories:  Other blue ribbon, stamp cleaner, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Blending pen,
Stamp-a-ma-jig, poster tape (removable), Big Shot, Magnetic platform

For the card my white measurements are 2 3/4" x 3 5/8" and the purple cut to 3 1/4" x 3 7/8" then use the adorning edgelit on it. I'll show a photo of how I used poster tape also or else the tin tends to move a bit. Also, you'll want to line up your scallops along the edge of the purple on all 3 sides. This will prevent any help scallops :D

I hope this helps someone!! :D

Dora is Done! And cute too!

Hi Stampers,

well, it's crazy how life happens around us sometimes. A little bit of life happened here. Not too bad but bad enough. I won't go into details. Just wanted you to know why I've been away lately and didn't complete my card for you last week.

I was all excited to share Dora with you too. :) My blocks are 6 1/2" sewn on the 1/2" mark and cut to the 1/4" mark. The back is a very pretty dark hot pink with white polka dots material. Super cute!
I followed the paper diagonal sewing trick and used a walking foot. Singing "life saver"!!  Any questions, please ask me. I don't mind. Oh yeah, I pinned, pinned, pinned!!! I also used a 45 x 60 warm and natural from Hobby Lobby at 40% off coupon. Toot toot!!

Take care. Love your family. Tell them you love them. Cherish every minute with them.

Be back soon with a card…I hope.

Enjoy!

PS: when snipping your rag quilt, Fiskars hand squeeze scissors are the best. They are tough and will cut through 4 layers if you need them too.  Those little snips that are sold by counters, those are just for snipping thread. :)

Hi Stampers,

Quilting A Little More

Hi Stampers,

Okay, today I finished up sewing all of the I spy squares together and cutting and matching Dora Flannel for a rag quilt for a friend's baby. The I spy got a little off track from the original but still came out cute! Whew!  I was vacuuming and knocked some of them off the board. :)

Now onto stamping before those other's get back from the embroiders'. :D Then it's binding time. :(

Have a great week!!

Enjoy!

Quilting A Little

Hi Stampers,

I am sorry I haven't been around to stamp much. I've been sending cards. Just not stamping. I even ordered new products. I'll try to get something posted next week.

I have been busy though. Look what I've been up too!  My girlfriend started quilting for the first time last year and she got me so inspired, I had to get back into it. Problem is, no one tells you it's addicting!!
Your house gets a little messy from not cleaning and spending so much time in your quilting/sewing room, your hair has more bad days than good. :)  At least that's what's happened to me. LOL

So here's a couple projects. The flips flops are from Love of Quilting magazine May/June 2008.
The truck panel is from Edwards Sewing Center in Fort Wayne, IN. If you purchase there, please tell them you heard about them from my blog. I know they would appreciate it.

The I spy is for my grandson. I've been wanting to make one for oh, 14 years now. Was suppose to be my daughters but she got a bug jar quilt instead. I'll attach a photo of that later.

Right now, take a peek at the stuff I've been sewing. :D

As always, please ask me any questions that you may have.

Enjoy!!
