Hi Stitchers and Stampers,
I finally made my grandson's weighted blanket. It's suppose to help keep him calm. Here is the wording I used on Facebook. My daughter said he loves it! If you can get a chance to make one, they are very easy to make. Also, it is very important to get the correct weight on the blanket. The weight should be 10% more than the childs' current weight. Take into account the polyfill and the fabric. I recommend weighing them both before measuring your ounces for your pellets. My blanket turned out 2 lbs heavier. So 6 lb all in all, not bad since his little body is only about 3 rows right now. The other two rows on each side of him probably lay off of him on the bed. Also, no pellets on the outside rows. This will make the weight more centered on the child. I hope these tips help you. They are the same tips as given by I love my kids.
Finished my grandson’s blanket tonight. I bought 60 inches of fabric at 44 inches wide. I sewed the edges and i got 43” x 58”. I used 7 x 8 rows. The 7 rows measures 6 1/8” and the 8 rows measured 7 1/4”. I also only filled the middle rows. 2 ounces each hole. Two handfuls of the polyfill. Happy sewing!!
As Always, Happy Stitching and Stamping!!

I have some quilts to take photos of that still need binding. I'd better get busy. But for now here are the photos of my new space and the furniture remake.

Where has time gone! LOL I need to catch you up!
Hi Stampers and Stitchers,
I have been so lazy about not keeping up my blog. I've probably lost followers. :D.
I will be catching you up on all I have quilted. We are going through a new remodel above the garage. You guessed it, a new sewing space! This gives us an extra room upstairs and now one room can go back to a bedroom. Yay!
Alrighty, enough already! I'll post a pic and then try to get you caught up on everything I've been quilting since the owl quilt.
More storage needed :D haha
New Space is coming along nicely!
Ta Ta for now! Happy crafting!!! Thanks for stopping by!!

BABY BOY OWL QUILT
Hi Stitchers and Stampers,
Today I'm bringing to you another finished quilt off my to do list. This feels so good to get these done and gifted.
Only a couple more to go as gifts and then the rest of the year I'm sewing for myself. :)
Of course the row by row experience starts June 21 and I'm so excited to get on the road to collecting those free patterns. Kits come in handy if you're trying to win the prizes. The license plates are very cute too!

Quilting Lately!!!
Hi Stitchers and Stampers,
I've been alittle busy quilting lately. Fell in love with it! Here is a couple that I've been working on.
The quilting is done by a friend of mine. She's a great gal and really good at it!!!
The first quilt is for my 3 grandsons to use at the lake. Very fitting!!

This quilt was made for our newest great niece! She's a doll!

Alas, I'll be selling off some rubber stamps on Ebay. I have one lot of house mouse listed right now. My ebay name is klikes99. They are around $11 each for the lot. Stay tuned for more. Hopefully getting some more listed this week.
Hugs and happy crafting!!!

WOW! Time slipped away from me! Truffula Trees and Quitling
Hi Stampers and Stichers,
I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been quilting, and rearranging, cleaning here and there, organizing, and playing with those cute little grandkids of ours. I'm trying to dress up the grandkids room. Their room just isn't big enough! They are taking over the basement! The toys, not the grandkids. LOL Here's a few photos of what I've been working on...
A couple of truffula trees ...I'm going to decorate their room with crafty things from the Lorax. Next on the agenda is a wooden Lorax guy and his lil friend the teddy bear. The truffula trees are held up with black thread and those 3M command strips.

Next is the Dear Jane quilt I've been working on. My friends and I are making 4 blocks per week. It doesn't seem like a great task but some of these templates are crazy!! Don't forget the easy patterns on this website and the easy template gudie to block building here.
Besides Dear Jane, I'm in the middle of making some blocks of the month for a friend. I am in a group with some friends and we decided to create our own BOM again. It was so much fun this year.
A couple of the ladies wanted the same block again this next year so they can make their quilt bigger. What an excellent idea!
Last year mine was the card trick in light blue and light green. I'll share a photo after it comes back from the quilter. Along with a Riley Blake "wheels" tumbler quilt that I whipped out with 2 - 5" charm packs. With this fancy ruler and this crazy, fun tutorial, it was super easy. That was an easy project!
You guessed it! This year it is one color, next year it's the opposite. Pretty nice! This is the
Next is a minion panel that I'm making for someone. I can't say who as they might read this!! The pattern is here.
Well that's it for today's blogging. I have to finish doing the laundry! Boooo!
Happy Crafting and Have a great week!!

ROW BY ROW EXPERIENCE IN QUILTING HAS BEGUN!!
Hi Stampers and Stitchers,
I am so sorry about not posting lately! Where does the time go? Just kidding...I know where it went. LOL
I have been collecting free quilt patterns from participating quilt shops in the Row by Row Experience. You won't believe how much fun this is!! I'm having a blast. I've traveled all over Michigan and to parts of Indiana. I will travel the southern cities of Indiana in a week or so.
I won't be making a quilt right away. I'm busy with the RXR and watching grandbabies.
I did make a card or two and forgot to take a photo before stuffing them in their envelopes and sending them out to friends. I did remember tonight. I really like this stamp set and the color just pops, don't you think?
I will try not to stay away again so long. Time just flies by!!
Please ask me any questions you may have about this card.
The punch is discontinued and the word stamp is from another source.
Thanks for stopping by.

STAMPIN UP WETLANDS AND A FLOWERS CARD
Hi Stampers and Stitchers,
I was asked by my SIL to make some more cards for church. They send these out to folks who can't get into service due to bad weather, and well you know…those darn ailments! :)
The first card is for the men. I saw this on the web and asked if I could CASE it and she said yes!
I was elated! The DSP is retired but if you click on this link we have lots more to chose from that are just as handsome.
The second card is for women and I think what is also fitting for couples. Although I'd like to put lovey bluebirds on some cards. I'll test that out later. :D
I hope you enjoy these cards and your day!

PAINTED PETALS, POTPOURRI PETALS, AND SHELTERING TREE BY STAMPIN UP!
Hi Stampers and Stitchers,
Today was an awesome day. It rained! and I stamped! We need more flowers here in Indiana. :)
My first card for you I call flower delight. I love the stamp set Petal Potpourri and the matching punch. If you love this set, it is only available until June 2. Stampin Up did not continue it into the new catalog. The flower medallion punch is carried over. Although CASED, I really enjoyed stamping this card. I did finish this card off with a hello die cut from our Hello You thinlit die set. I used Wild Wasabi cardstock for the word. Also the two way glue pen came in handy for placement.
Accessories: Hello You thinlit dies, Two way glue pen
And now for my second card, I've been working with a lot of red and black fabric and I thought, why not a card? hmmm So here it is! I stamped off once on some of the images so they didn't turn out so dark. I have not added a sentiment yet. What do you think of the card? I like it!! :)
Painted Petals in only available until June 2.
Stamp Sets: Sheltering Tree Photopolymer Only and Painted Petals Clear Mount Set
Cardstock: Real Red and Whisper White

Still Quilting with Pat Sloan; Following Her Vacation 2015 BOM
Hi Stampers and Stitchers,
I didn't realize it had been awhile since I posted. I've been working on a very special quilt and I will show the final product when it is gifted and opened. It will be ready by June 5 (I'm hoping).
Here is block five of Pat Sloan Vacation Bom for 2015. This BOM has been really fun to follow. I chose my fabrics from a whole line and then some and they were on clearance yet to boot. I love that!
I received a Stampin Up order in on Friday. The grandchildren left Friday evening, so hopefully I'll be playing with those sets on Memorial Day. No bar-b-q's that I've heard of as of yet. :(
Here are my very special blocks. Enjoy! and have a terrific long weekend!!

Quilting with Pat Sloan; Following Her Vacation 2015 BOM
Hi Stampers an Stitchers,
well, I've been making cards and so excited about it that I mailed them without taking their photo. Duh!
So here's the quilting project I've been following this year. It's my first BOM in a very long time. I'm getting better as I go. Practice makes perfect right? (chuckles)
The BOM I've been following is by Pat Sloan. You can read about Pat here. I'm having a lot of fun following these quilt blocks. I'm making more quilts so sometimes one block a month really helps. :D
Please ask me any questions that you may have.
There are some retiring products at SU!
Here are the weekly deals!
Be sure not to miss out on your favorites. Of course there's always a clearnace rack which I love a great deal!
No pressure what so ever! I just wanted to mention it to you for the great deals!

BUNDLED BABY GIRL CARD WITH PINK PIROUETTE AND RIBBON
Hi Stampers and Stitchers,
today I made a card for a friend. She needed a baby girl look! Perfect don't you think? :-)
If you'd like a card or two, pop me an email and I'll see what I can come up with. You can make a donation and I'll pay it forward.
The Pistachio Pudding CS is retired but Pear Pizazz would be perfect too!
The Pretty in Pink Stitched Ribbon is also retired but a nice alternative would be Pink Pirouette 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon
The pistachio pudding is prettier and more subtle in person. I'm not sure why blogger changed the color of the photo. :-)
